Nominations for Western, Midwestern and International Regions
Complete the form below to nominate IAPSP members for consideration in the election to fill open regional slots on the International Council of
IAPSP for the Western, Midwestern and International regions.
There are 5 positions to be filled in the Western
region: Bernie Brandchaft, Mort Shane, and Mary
Gales Shane have resigned their Council seats; Judy
Pickles and Joye Weisel-Barth have three year terms
which are expiring at the October, 2008, conference.
There are 3 positions to be filled in the Midwest
region: Peter Buirski, Amy Eldridge, and Sandra
Kiersky have three year terms which expire in
October. There are 5 positions to be filled in the
International region, all for people who have resigned
from the Council: Russell Meares, Rosemary
Tredgold, Irwin Bartosch, Sigmund Karterud, and
Henry Szor. All current Council members whose three
year terms are expiring are eligible to be nominated
and re-elected for another three year term. In
planning your nominations, you may want to note that
Susi Federici-Nebbiosi, currently a member-at-large,
has a three year term which is expiring and is eligible
for re-election either in these regional elections or in
the member-at-large elections which will follow. The
remaining members-at-large are from the Easter
region, in which there are no current openings.
Therefore they are eligible for re-election in the
member-at-large election only. These Council
members with expiring terms include: Doris Brothers,
Steven Knoblauch, Dorienne Sorter, and Judy
Teicholz.
Please keep the following guidelines in mind when making your nomination:
- Nominations are now requested for candidates to
fill positions on the Council in the Western,
Midwestern and International regions.
- Only members of the region in which the position
is to be filled are eligible to nominate candidates in
this round of elections.
- Before making a nomination, please ask the
individual if he or she would be willing to run and, if
elected, to serve for a term of three years.
- IAPSP members living in these regions may
nominate themselves.
Qualifications and Expectations for Nominees:
- Nominees must be members of IAPSP, with
current dues paid, and reside in the geographical
region which they are being nominated to
represent.
- Nominees should manifest previous involvement
in self psychology through teaching, writing, and/or
organizational work.
- Nominees are expected to attend the annual
meeting of the Council, which takes place during the
annual International Conference.
- If elected, nominees will be expected to be active
participants in the work of the Council and IAPSP
during their three year term, which begins October,
2008.
