Psychology of the Self Online > IJPSP
Welcome to the new International Journal of
Psychoanalytic Self Psychology (formerly Progress In Self Psychology)
web page! The IJPSP, a peer-reviewed quarterly publication,
is the official publication of the International
Association for Psychoanalytic Self Psychology and is dedicated to the
exploration of contemporary psychoanalytic self psychology and related
areas. The IJPSP publishes original articles, plenary presentations,
commentaries, editorials, and brief communications. In addition, our
Book Review section offers in-depth reviews of recent literature in our
field. Subscription to the IJPSP is obtained through the publisher
or as a benefit of membership in the IAPSP.
The work of Heinz Kohut
and his colleagues provides the basis of what has become one of the most
prominent sectors of the international psychoanalytic community. The
IJPSP celebrates this spirit by offering a forum for the interpretation
of the essence of self psychology along with its continued
reinterpretation and expansion. This includes recognition of the
interplay of ideas between self psychology and other contemporary
paradigms in the wider psychoanalytic community. In this spirit, the
IJPSP is committed to offering a high level of scholarship, theoretical
creativity, the illustration of sound clinical practice, and a diversity
of ideas.
The IJPSP web page now offers a powerful search engine,
a listing of the Table of Contents of each volume,
and an Author's Index to assist you in your
research needs. The page provides Submissions Guidleines,
including a direct way of submitting
manuscripts and an easy means of contacting the IJPSP Editors and Staff.
Included here also are
links to web pages of interest to clincians
and researchers.
