Associations
ABEPPS - The
Brazilian Association for the Study of Psychoanalytic Self
Psychology
Rio de Janeiro is the city in Brazil
where most professionals that have been introduced to Self Psychology
are concentrated and where most study groups have been held for the last
two decades. ABEPPS is the Brazilian Association for the Study of Psychoanalytic Self
Psychology, an organization that has been devoted to studying basic
concepts necessary to understand Kohut's and his followers' ideas,
since 2001. Our mission is to divulge the core ideas based on the concepts derived
from Kohut's work and their unfoldings, in a contemporary approach. Our
vision goes towards keeping up-to-date with the state-of-the-art in the
Psychology of the Self. The major objectives are to achieve a broader and more multidisciplinary
scope towards the relationships and issues that surround the therapeutic
setting in our time.
ANZAP - The Australian and New Zealand Association of Psychotherapy
ANZAP - The Australian and New Zealand Association of

practice of the Psychology of Self. Our website has details of our
organisation, a list of members, the training program, bulletin,
annual volume, Saturday morning seminars and information regarding our
November 2005 Conference.
