The editorial staff of SELF PSYCHOLOGY NEWS happily welcomes you to OUR first online edition of the newsletter. We hope you find the online format easy to use and pleasing to your eye.
For your surfing information, you will find the contents of the entire newsletter listed on the front page, which you can reach either by clicking the newsletter icon on the home page of the webJournal or by clicking the blue Newsletter navigator button on the left side of each page. When you have arrived at the front page of the newsletter, each article can be reached by clicking its listing on the front page. It can also be reached by using the green section buttons in the newsletter navigation bar at the top of the page. A click there will send you to the section of the newsletter that interests you and from there you can select the article that you wish.
We are enthusiastic about many aspects of our new WebPublication. We especially hope to take broad advantage of its interactive possibilities. Since the web enables two-way communication, we invite you, our readers, to communicate with us about any aspects of the newsletter that you find of interest or concern. Our editors have addresses on our server and can either be emailed directly or they can be reached through their sections' addresses. Please feel free to write to them regarding articles that have already been printed in their sections or about articles that you might like to write yourself. You'll find the editors, their respective sections, and their addresses listed on our masthead.
As a first piece of interactive communication, I would like to hear from you about your reactions to this edition of the newsletter and its publication online. There has been a controversy over whether readers prefer to hold and read a printed edition of the newsletter or whether you are comfortable with an electronic publication, reading either directly off the screen or from a reader printed hardcopy. Please let me know your experience. You can write to me at allensiegel@psychologyoftheself.com.
As a final note, SELF PSYCHOLOGY NEWS belongs to the self psychology community. It is yours. Your participation in it represents a contribution to the community. Feel free to voice your comments, suggestions, gripes, and compliments. All are welcome, all will be heard.
